UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2011

According to the University of Indonesia (UI) GreenMetric Ranking of World Universities 2011, University of Nottingham (UK) is ranked as the most environmentally sustainable campus in the world, ranking 1st among 178 schools worldwide, followed by Northeastern University in 2nd place and University of Connecticut in 3rd place. Other U.S. universities ranked in the top 10 include University of California, Berkeley (No. 6), University of California, Los Angeles (No. 7) and the University of California, Merced (No. 9).

Northeastern was ranked first among all American universities (2nd globally only to the University of Nottingham), and its standing improved from the UI GreenMetric in 2010, when it was ranked fourth out of 95 schools worldwide.

University College Cork (UCC) is truly Ireland's green university, ranked 4th in the UI World Green Metric University Rankings 2011. UCC is also ranked highly in other international league tables. The university became the first Irish University to achieve a 'Five Star' ranking in QS Stars 2011 and the only Irish university to improve its position in the QS world rankings in 2011.
