Cambridge is ranked 1st in the UK for economics, ahead of Oxford (2nd) and London School of Economics (3rd), according to the Complete University Guide 2012 subject league tables.

University of Warwick is ranked in the top 4 nationally for economics. The Department of Economics at Warwick has a strong reputation for research and offers a number of highly rated undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes.

The Department of Economics at University of Bath has a strong international research reputation in mainstream economics. It is ranked 8th for economics in both the Complete University Guide 2012 and The Times Good University Guide 2012.

In the subject tables, University of Glasgow is ranked 11th for Economics, moving up from 15th in 2011. Overall, Glasgow is ranked 3rd in Scotland and 21st in the UK for 2012.
