US News Law School Ranking 2013

Yale University is ranked 1st in the nation according to the US News 2013 rankings of law schools, ahead of Stanford University (2nd) and Harvard University (3rd). U.S. News rankings of law schools are based on a weighted average of 12 factors that include LSAT scores, bar passage rates and job placement after graduation.

The College of Law at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is ranked 32nd among public universities. Its clinical training program moved up one slot to 11th nationally and its legal writing program is ranked 8th among public universities.

The LSU Law Center has moved up five places in the 2013 U.S. News rankings of Law Schools, climbing to 79th in the closely watched list. Some 195 law schools in the nation are reviewed by the magazine. LSU Law is one of only 9 public law schools from Texas to Florida, and only one of 3 law schools in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi, public or private, ranked in the top 100 nationally.

Florida International University (FIU) College of Law jumped 19 places from 132nd to 113th. The rankings place FIU College of Law in 4th place among Florida's 11 law schools as the 3rd most diverse law school in the nation.
