Australian Universities in World Rankings 2012-2013

A total of six Australian universities ranked in the world's top 100 according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2012-2013). The highest ranked Australian university is the University of Melbourne. It was ranked 28th globally, followed by Australian National University (2nd in Australia and 37th in the world), and the University of Sydney (3rd in Australia and 62nd in the world).

The University of Queensland was ranked 65th overall in the world and in the top 35 universities in the clinical and health disciplines, according to the Times Higher Education's 2012-2013 World University Rankings.

The University of New South Wales was ranked 85th in the 2012-2013 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, placing it in the top 5 of Australian institutions. The University has also been ranked in the world's top 100 (81-90) for academic prestige in the 2013 global reputation index.

Monash University was ranked 6th in Australia and 99th in the world according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2012-2013). It was also placed in the top 100 of world universities according to the Times Higher Education Reputation Rankings (2013).
