Cambridge was ranked 1st in the Guardian's 2015 University Guide for History, followed by Durham in 2nd place and St Andrews in 3rd place.
History at the University of East Anglia was ranked joint 11th in the UK, according to the 2015 Guardian University Guide, with 90 per cent of its research classified as being of international importance or better (RAE 2008).
Royal Holloway was ranked 17th for History in the Guardian University Guide 2015, placing it in the top 19 per cent in the UK.
Glyndŵr University achieved strong performance in the Guardian University Guide 2015, with History ranking at 38th in the UK and top in Wales on its first appearance in the Guide; and six subject areas ranking in the UK top 10 for student satisfaction with assessment and feedback (Social Work, Building, Town & Country Planning, Nursing, Education, Art and Sports Science).
