Albany Medical College Rankings

Albany Medical College is one of the nation's oldest private medical schools, and is part of the Albany Medical Center, northeastern New York's only academic health sciences center.

Albany Medical College is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The College is also accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The College's programs are approved by the New York State Education Department for the training of veterans and other eligible persons.

The Graduate Studies Program at Albany Medical College comprises a Basic Science Division (which offers both Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees) and a Clinical Science Division.

- Albany Medical College is ranked 7th in U.S. News & World Report 2011 edition of "America's Best Graduate Schools" in the category of nurse anesthesiology.

- Albany Medical Center has been ranked as one of the nation's best hospitals in the specialty of gynecology (USNWR America's Best Hospitals 2009 issue).

- The American Journal of Bioethics (AJOB), published through the Alden March Bioethical Institute at Albany Medical College, has been rated as the leading journal in the field of bioethics by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI).
