Physics Ranking 2015
The University of St Andrews was ranked 1st in the UK for Physics according to the Guardian University Guide 2015, followed by Oxford in 2nd place and Birmingham in 3rd place.
The University of Hertfordshire Physics jumped to 4th place in the Guardian University Guide 2015. It was one of only two universities to achieve the maximum score of 10 for 'Value Added' in Physics.
Physics and astronomy at the University of Sussex was ranked 11th in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2015 and 14th in the UK in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014. Moreover, Sussex Department of Physics and Astronomy was ranked 12th in the UK in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, and top in the South East. 95 per cent of its research is rated as internationally recognised or higher, and 60 per cent rated as internationally excellent or higher.
