Of particular significance, Adelaide University was ranked number one in Australia in two subjects: Dentistry & Oral Sciences and Chemical Engineering.

At the global level, nine subjects placed among the world's top 50. Dentistry & Oral Sciences ranked 18th globally, followed by Mining & Mineral Engineering at 19th, Nursing at 27th, Business Administration at 41st, Artificial Intelligence at 45th, Civil Engineering at 47th, Automation & Control at 48th, Public Health at 48th, and Chemical Engineering at 49th.

For a university entering a new phase of development, these results are particularly meaningful.

The Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects compares universities internationally across individual academic disciplines, with a focus on areas such as research performance, research impact, academic talent, and international collaboration. Compared with rankings that assess universities primarily as a whole, subject rankings provide a more specific perspective on the academic and research strengths of universities in individual fields.
