Henderson State University is a leading public liberal arts university located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas (USA). It was founded in 1890 as Arkadelphia Methodist College.

- Placed in the Tier 3 among the Best Master’s Universities in the South ("America's Best Colleges" 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report).
- It is the only Arkansas institution selected for membership in the exclusive Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC).
- Selected as Arkansas's only public university for inclusion in "Colleges of Distinction," which consists of 220 public and private colleges nationwide.
