Sonoma State University Rankings
Founded in 1960, Sonoma State University (SSU or Sonoma State) is a top public coeducational business and liberal arts college affiliated with the California State University system. It is the only California university that is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.
The University is comprised of six schools:
- School of Arts & Humanities
- School of Business & Economics
- School of Education
- School of Extended Education
- School of Science & Technology
- School of Social Sciences
The university is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the California State Board of Education. The School of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the California Commision on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). The School of Business and Economics is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Other accreditations include the American Chemical Society, National Association of Schools of Music, National League for Nursing, National Association for Schools of Art and Design, Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
