Albany State University Profile

Albany State University is a four-year historically black university (HBCU) located in Albany, Georgia, USA. It was founded in 1903 as the Albany Bible and Manual Training Institution.

The University has the following Academic Colleges: College of Arts and Humanities; College of Business; College of Education; College of Sciences and Health Professions. It also offers a number of online programs such as the Master of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems, Master of Science in Criminal Justice, Certification in Biomedical Forensic Sciences.

Albany State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and programs, the National League for Nursing.
