Founded in 1972, Rush University is a leading private university located on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois, USA. It is the academic arm of Rush University Medical Center.
Rush University comprises: Rush Medical College, the College of Nursing, the College of Health Sciences and The Graduate College.
Rush University Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The U.S. Department of Labor has presented Rush University Medical Center with its prestigious 2007 Exemplary Voluntary Efforts (EVE) Award.

The College of Nursing is ranked 15th among 467 nursing colleges with graduate programs.
- In U.S.News & World Report's 2010 issue showcasing "America's Best Hospitals", Rush is ranked in 11 of 16 categories.
- According to the 2009 edition of "America's Best Graduate Schools" survey published by U.S. News & World Report magazine, 8 programs in the Rush College of Nursing and 3 programs in the College of Health Sciences are ranked among the top 25 in the country. The Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program is ranked 9th. The Master's in Health System Management program is ranked 25th and the Master's in Speech-Language Pathology program is 18th. Rush College of Nursing is ranked 3rd in the nation for its Master's in Nursing Anesthesia program and 19th for its Master's in Nursing program.
