United States Air Force Academy Rankings
The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is a top accredited university for the undergraduate education of commissioned officers for the United States Air Force. It offers Bachelor's degrees in a variety of subjects. The United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School (known as the "Prep School") is a program offered to individuals who are not able to obtain appointments directly to the Academy.
The Academy is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

- Named the best baccalaureate college in the west for the third year in a row in the U.S. News and World Report's America's Best Colleges 2010 rankings. It also achieved top rankings in undergraduate engineering programs, ranked 2nd nationally in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, 2nd in electrical, electronic and communications engineering, 2nd in mechanical engineering. Overall, the Academy tied for 6th in the nation for having the best undergraduate engineering program.
- 1st among schools of business with undergraduate degrees only and 12th in the country among schools of business where a doctorate is not offered. It is tied for 74th with eight other schools for the best undergraduate business program in the nation (USNWR 2010).
- Rated the 2nd public college in the US and the 7th best college overall in the Forbes Magazine "America's Best Colleges 2009" publication.
- Named as one of the nation's top 100 best value colleges for 2009 by The Princeton Review.
- Barron's lists the Academy as one of the "most competitive" colleges in the country.
- Forbes Magazine ranked the Academy 16th in the nation (ahead of Stanford and Pomona) in its "America's Best Colleges 2008" publication.
