Top Universities in Cambodia

Royal University of Phnom Penh is the top ranked university in Cambodia, followed by University of Cambodia in 2nd place nationally and Pannasastra University of Cambodia in 3rd place nationally, according to the Webometrics ranking of Top Colleges and Best Universities of Cambodia (July 2011).

The Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) is the oldest and largest university in the country. It is the first university in Cambodia with full membership of the ASEAN University Network (AUN). Additionally, the university maintains vast linkage networks with Cambodian and international NGOs, universities and government ministries.

The University of Cambodia is fully registered with the Royal Government of Cambodia and is officially recognized by a sub-decree (number 51) issued by the Royal Government of Cambodia and signed by Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia, on 20 June 2003. It is also registered with the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia. The University has signed Memoranda of Understanding with various universities overseas.

Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC) is the first higher learning institution in the country that provides English based education in all subjects, and is officially authorized and accredited by the Royal Government of Cambodia to grant degrees at Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. levels to qualified students.
